Changes often force us to adapt in ways we’ve never experienced, which can be a major driver of personal (and even professional) growth and development.

Important Update: Canvas May 2026 Security Incident

Canvas is Available

Canvas is now live and can be used by the campus community. However, we ask that you continue to exercise caution during this time and report any suspicious activity to abuse@calpoly.edu immediately. Remember: The CSU will never ask for payment from faculty or students for the use of Canvas, including for examinations. In an abundance of caution, we strongly recommend that you download any important or necessary documents for added security and save them to OneDrive. To learn more about downloading, please see our support page.

We are aware that Canvas is down across ALL CSU campuses and at the Chancellor's Office. Instructure is working diligently to gather more information and get systems restored.

This situation is fluid, and we are working with Instructure to determine the full scope of impact and will provide updates as soon as they are available.

More information, please see the Cal Poly System Status, and/or the CSU report.
